We also strive to keep our costs and our prices low, ensuring that you get the best possible return on the money you invest.
Despite recent changes to the feed-in tariff (FiT) scheme, solar PV still represents an excellent investment offering a healthy annual return on your investment (up to 12% annually thanks to our SAP guarantee), a return that is index-linked and guaranteed for 20 years. Government commitment to the feed-in tariff scheme remains strong, but with the arrival of the Green Deal solar PV and other renewable energy solutions are now more accessible than ever.
Investing in renewable energy and energy efficiency measures is not just about the financial return of course. It is also about securing your energy future, at a time when there is great uncertainty about energy prices and inevitable future price increases. By investing now you can get ahead of the game, while also doing your bit to help create a greener planet.
The Directors
Paul Summers
After leaving the family business to further his career, Paul became a technical sales engineer for a blue chip bespoke window fabrications company. After a successful five years, Paul took a new career path and became a sales consultant working under his current business partner Grant Woollaston.
Paul was very quickly promoted to the role of sales manager where he led by example driving the company forward. This would be the spring board to the renewables energy industry, and Paul quickly became a leading authority on this emerging industry and was soon head-hunted by a renewable energy company specializing in solar P.V, solar thermal, heat pumps and wind turbines.
Following Paul’s arrival, the company had its best year and turned over in excess of £1 million. Paul then put into place a marketing strategy and sales techniques that advanced the company so that in a very short space of time turnover had increased to around £500,000 per month. It was this success coupled with his vast knowledge of the industry that convinced Paul to start a new venture, and Green Planet was born.
Grant Woollaston
Grant was born in Coventry, England but began his working life in Spain where he quickly became a fluent Spanish speaker. On his return to the UK he joined a company operating within the domestic electrical sector. Grant was extremely successful within his role, driving the business forward and achieving very impressive returns for the company.
After eleven successful years in this position Grant had developed extensive knowledge of both the electrical sector and more recently the renewable energy industry after the company branched out into this rapidly growing sector. Recognising the potential of the renewable energy sector, and as an advocate and champion of green technology himself, Grant quickly became an industry expert providing him with the perfect credentials to begin the solar PV company that is Green Planet.
Both directors are pioneers within the UK solar sector and have formed strong relationships with numerous high-profile individuals and companies within the industry.
